PHILADELPHIA (July 29, 2026) – SEPTA will run shuttle buses in place of trains along multiple lines to accommodate critical bridge improvement projects starting on Saturday, Aug. 1.
To support the Bridgeport Viaduct rehabilitation, SEPTA will operate shuttle buses on the 
between Norristown Transit Center and Bridgeport Station from Aug. 1 to Dec. 19. The shuttle busing will extend to Gulph Mills Station between Aug. 22-30, before reverting to Bridgeport Station for the remainder of the construction phase.
The Bridgeport Viaduct project will also briefly impact the Manayunk/Norristown Regional Rail Line from Aug. 15-23, with shuttle buses running between Norristown-Elm Street and Norristown Transit Center. Riders should expect an increase in travel times across the effected services.
This is the second and longest phase of planned construction on the viaduct, with the third and final phase expected to take place in early 2027.
Yardley to West Trenton Busing
Separately, shuttle buses will be running from Aug. 1-14 between West Trenton and Yardley stations due to work on the West Trenton Bridge. Shuttle buses are scheduled to leave 14-20 minutes earlier than regularly scheduled times and could add up to 30 minutes in travel time for customers.
