South Street District

On Sunday stop by the Headhouse Farmers Market from 10AM to 2PM for fresh produce, baked goods, local meats, cheeses, and wines. Ride Route 12, 40, 47, or 57 there.

Reading Terminal Market

The Plaza at Reading Terminal Market transforms 15,000 square feet of the 1100 block of Filbert Street into an extended gathering space, filled with artisanal stalls and outdoor seating, plus a pop-up bar run by Molly Malloy’s. Look for daily acoustic sets from live bands along with limited-time vendors. Take a train to Jefferson Station, the L to 11th or Routes 17, 23, 33, 38, 44, 45, 48, 62 or 78.

Headed to the Highmark Mann to catch Jimmy Eat World: Bleed American 25th Anniversary Tour with THRICE & Hey Mercedes on Friday, 6/19? Bus Routes 38, 40, 43, and 52 stop within walking distance of the Highmark Mann Center. The Mann Loop will not be running for this performance.

African American Museum in Philadelphia

Come by for a celebration of Juneteenth on Friday, 6/19 at the African American Museum in Philadelphia. It’s a short walk from the 8th St stop on the L or ride Routes 47 or 48.

Franklin Square

Experience handcrafted Chinese lanterns featuring glowing sculptures, themed displays for Philly’s summer events, and vibrant animals and flowers at the Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival in Franklin Square now thru Sunday, 8/16. Short walk from the 5th St/Independence Hall stop on the L or Route 47.

Spruce Street Harbor Park

Spruce Street Harbor Park on the Delaware River Waterfront is open now thru late September. Routes 12, 25, and 42 are the best way there. 

Adventure Aquarium

Touch and see horseshoe crabs at Adventure Aquarium’s newest exhibit! Connect from SEPTA to PATCO at 8th & Market or 15th & Locust and ride PATCO to City Hall Station.

Benjamin Franklin Parkway

Running from Friday, 6/19 to Saturday, 7/4 this citywide festival celebrates America’s birthplace and honors both Juneteenth and Independence Day with free events, major performances on the Parkway, and a fireworks finale over the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Routes 7, 32, 38, 43 & 48 serve the Museum area. But keep an eye out for delays and detours!

East Passyunk

East Passyunk is celebrating the World Cup with a series of lively block parties on Friday, 6/19, Saturday, 6/27, and Friday, 7/3. Ride the B to Tasker-Morris or Routes 47, 45, or 29.

Ambler

Visit Ambler Farmers Market on Saturday from 9AM to 12PM. Take the Lansdale/Doylestown Line to Ambler Station or Routes 94 or 95.
