Philly Spring Cleanup 2026

City government, residents, and organizations partner every year in April to kick off the spring season by cleaning and beautifying Philadelphia’s neighborhoods through Philly Spring Cleanup.

This Office of Clean and Green Initiatives event took place at hundreds of locations across the city on Saturday, April 11.

This year over 160 SEPTA employees and family members volunteered their time and worked their magic at three SEPTA locations: Fern Rock Transit Center, Frankford Transit Center, and 69th St Transit Center.

This is the 19th year SEPTA employees have participated in Philadelphia’s largest city-wide, single-day clean-up event.

We take immense pride in being good neighbors. Thank you to everyone who showed up this year to make Philly a cleaner and greener place for all!

A total of 200,000 city-wide volunteers have removed more than 11.4 million pounds of trash and 950,000 pounds of tires from city streets at nearly 6,750 project sites since its 2008 launch.
