To conduct overhead wire inspections and maintenance, shuttle buses replace 
and 
trolley service on the first Saturday of each month until further notice. Beginning 5 am Saturdays until 4:30 am on Sundays, buses replace all / trolleys between 69th St Transit Center and Media/Sharon Hill.
Riders should plan for approximately 15 minutes of additional travel time and look for signage at stations for bus boarding locations.

Beginning on or about September 27, SEPTA riders can access digital schedule information about the / shuttle buses during these Saturday disruptions. Bus information is available on separate D1 bus & D2 bus schedule pages. These bus trips are not shown on the D trolley schedule pages. Riders can plan trips that use both the / trolleys and bus shuttles in combination using the SEPTA trip planner.
Project Details
This Saturday shuttle bus substitution allows SEPTA to conduct regular overhead wire inspections and maintenance. In the spring of 2026, SEPTA finished an extensive hazardous tree removal project along the 
lines. These projects and regular inspections will reduce the likelihood of sudden and lengthy service disruptions, especially during inclement weather.
