Erie Station Improvements

Overview

Erie Station, on the Broad Street Line, is a key transportation link to North Philadelphia. As part of SEPTA’s continued commitment to make all stations on the Broad Street Line accessible within the next decade, Erie Station will be renovated to make it easier to use and accessible for all. Combined with the City of Philadelphia’s intersection safety improvements, North Philadelphians will soon have an easier time using and connecting between SEPTA’s Broad Street Line and bus routes throughout the area. Renovations will improve its accessibility for all SEPTA riders by constructing three new elevators, upgrading communications equipment, installing updated wayfinding signage and modifying the fare gate layout to improve efficiency.
