University City
The bustling heart of West Philadelphia and the academic epicenter of the entire region – University City is so named due to two of the largest and most influential institutions in town: the University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University.
How to Get There
Take Regional Rail to William H. Gray III 30th Street Station or Penn Medicine Station, the Market-Frankford Line to Drexel Station at 30th Street, Trolley Routes 10, 11, 13, 34 or 36 to 30th or Bus Routes 21, 42, or 49.
The LUCY (Loop Through University City) shuttle runs every 5 to 30 minutes from 6:10 am to 7 pm Monday-Friday. There are two lines, Green and Gold, which are free for University of Pennsylvania students/employees and regular SEPTA fare for all other passengers.

It’s easy to go from Philadelphia International Airport to University City via SEPTA’s Airport Line.
Things to Do
There is so much to do in University City! Whether you’re exploring the historic campus of the University of Pennsylvania or grabbing food and drinks at of the many bars and restaurants – there is something for everyone. You can take in a show at World Cafe Live or enjoy the Farmer’s Market in Clark Park. Neighborhood highlights include Penn Park and the Penn Museum.
