University City is Philadelphia’s vibrant academic hub and home to two of the region’s leading institutions: The University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University.

How to Get There

Take Regional Rail to William H. Gray III 30th St or Penn Medicine, the L or the T to Drexel at 30th St, or Routes 21, 42, or 49. The LUCY (Loop Through University City) shuttle runs every 5 to 30 minutes from 6:10AM to 7PM Monday thru Friday. The two lines are Green and Gold. Both are free for University of Pennsylvania students/employees and regular SEPTA fare for all other passengers.

It’s easy to go from Philadelphia International Airport to University City via the Airport Line.

There’s always something to do in University City. Explore the historic campuses of the University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University then enjoy the neighborhood’s diverse restaurants cafés and nightlife. Visitors can catch a live performance at World Cafe Live browse the Clark Park Farmers’ Market or visit local attractions such as Penn Park and the Penn Museum.
