New Regional Rail schedules went into effect on Sunday, October 18. SEPTA updates its Regional Rail schedules four times per year to improve reliability and adjust for capital projects and infrastructure improvements.
These new schedules include minor improvements that translate to more predictable and reliable service. Additionally, as SEPTA continues to increase the number of train cars available for service, trains will be longer and provide more space for riders.
Schedule Update Highlights
- Continue to provide more consistent line pairings to improve predictability and reliability. These new Regional Rail schedules include more consistent pairings between lines on different ends of the network. This ensures that the system is easier to navigate and prevent delays from having a wider impact.
- Amtrak work continues to impact the Paoli/Thorndale Line until November 21. Inbound trains operate 5 minutes earlier to William H. Gray III 30th St Station. Additionally, trains are rerouted between Overbrook and William H. Gray III 30th St stations. All trains continue to board from their normal locations, and schedules have been adjusted by 5 minutes to account for expected delays on the rerouted portion.
- Based on rider feedback, Paoli/Thorndale train 5300, the current 4:29 am train from Malvern, now operates as 9500 departing 20 minutes later.
