Subway Station Cleaning Blitz Starts This Weekend

Following several successful station cleaning and maintenance blitzes over the last year two years SEPTA is continuing the initiative beginning this month and through October on the Broad Street (BSL) and Market-Frankford Lines (MFL).

The first station included in the blitz will be Snyder on the Broad Street Line beginning this weekend, May 5-7. For each blitz, stations will close at 8 pm. On Friday and reopen Monday morning at 5 am Efforts will focus on heavy cleaning, maintenance, as well as painting and any additional repairs where needed.

Below are dates and locations for the rest of the blitz at each station:

  • Allegheny Station (MFL) May 19, 20, 21
  • Tioga Station (MFL) June 16, 17, 18
  • 11th Street Station (MFL) July 14, 15, 16
  • Somerset Station (MFL) July 28, 29, 30
  • Hunting Park Station (BSL) August 11, 12, 13
  • 34th Street Station (MFL) August 25, 26, 27
  • Logan Station (BSL) September 8, 9, 10
  • 46th Station (MFL) September 22, 23, 24
  • 13th Street Station (MFL) October 6, 7, 8

During the closures, customers can find alternate service at neighboring stations on the Broad Street and Market-Frankford Lines, or on nearby bus routes. For trip-planning tools and schedules, please visit www.SEPTA.org

Limpieza intensiva de estaciones de metro comienza este fin de semana: Estación Snyder

Tras varias exitosas campañas de limpieza intensiva y mantenimiento durante los últimos dos años en algunas estaciones de metro de las líneas Azul y Naranja, SEPTA ha retomado la iniciativa este año.

Las campañas se realizarán de mayo a octubre comenzando este año con la Estación Snyder de la Línea Naranja este fin de semana, del 5 al 7 de mayo. Durante la campaña de limpieza, la estación permanecerá cerrada desde las 8 p.m. del viernes hasta las 5 a.m. del lunes. Los equipos se centrarán en la limpieza profunda, mantenimiento, pintura, lavado con agua a presión y reparaciones adicionales donde sea necesario.

A continuación se muestran las estaciones y fechas para el resto de las campañas de limpieza:

  • Estación Allegheny (Línea Azul) 19, 20 y 21 de mayo
  • Estación Tioga (Línea Azul) 16, 17 y 18 de junio
  • Estación 11th St (Línea Azul) 14, 15 y 16 de julio
  • Estación Somerset (Línea Azul) 28, 29 y 30 de julio
  • Estación Hunting Park (Línea Naranja) 11, 12 y 13 de agosto
  • Estación 34th St (Línea Azul) 25, 26 y 27 de agosto
  • Estación Logan (Línea Naranja) 8, 9 y 10 de septiembre
  • Estación 46th St (Línea Azul) 22, 23 y 24 de septiembre
  • Estación 13th St (Línea Azul) 6, 7 y 8 de octubre
