SEPTA has announced the appointment of Elizabeth Bradford as Director of Marketing in the authority’s Division of Public and Government Affairs.
In her position, Ms. Bradford will be responsible for initiating new programs to improve ridership and enhance the authority’s image; developing marketing and promotional strategies to introduce and create awareness of new vehicles, enhanced station amenities and expanded service; developing the creative approach and design of collateral materials required for promotional efforts; and coordinating with outside organizations to maximize promotional efforts beneficial to the Authority. Ms. Bradford’s duties will also involve managing the special event portion of capital programs, including advertising and public affairs responsibilities, for programs such as SEPTA’s New Payment Technology implementation. This $250 million fare collection system will be the largest marketing initiative in the authority’s history.
Ms. Bradford joins SEPTA from Harmelin Media, where she was Media Director. Harmelin, a full-service media planning and buying company located in Bala Cynwyd, Pa., is one of the largest independent media services companies in the country. At Harmelin, Ms. Bradford’s duties included planning, negotiation, execution and management of multi-faceted media campaigns for both local and national advertisers spanning various categories and encompassing all forms media. A 15-year Harmelin employee, Ms. Bradford was SEPTA’s lead media planner and buyer for the last five years.
Ms. Bradford, whose professional experience also includes Assistant Marketing Manager for Lenox Collections, a division of Lenox Inc., holds both a Bachelor’s of Science in Marketing and Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from La Salle University.
She resides in the Queen Village section of Philadelphia with her family.
