SEPTA Station Cleaning Blitz Continues This Weekend

SEPTA Station Cleaning Blitz Continues This Weekend

46th St Station

PHILADELPHIA (September 21, 2023) − Following several successful station cleaning and maintenance blitzes over the last two years, SEPTA is continuing the initiative through October on the Broad Street (BSL) and Market-Frankford Lines (MFL).

This weekend’s (Sept. 22-24) comprehensive cleaning will be at 46th Street Station on the Market-Frankford Line. As with each cleaning, stations will close at 8 p.m. on Friday and reopen Monday morning at 5 a.m. Efforts will focus on heavy cleaning, maintenance, as well as painting, and any additional repairs where needed.

The blitz will continue with 13th Street Station on October 6,7 & 8, and 34th Street Station on October 20, 21 &22–both along the Market-Frankford Line.

SEPTA has been doing these station cleaning blitzes on the Market-Frankford and Broad Street Lines over the last several months. In addition to 46th Street Station this weekend, crews have been dispatched to Snyder, Hunting Park, and Logan on the BSL and Allegheny, Tioga, 11th Street, and Somerset on the Market-Frankford Line since May.
