Following several successful station cleaning and maintenance blitzes in recent months, SEPTA will continue the initiative this weekend (August 13, 14, 15) for a cleaning blitz at Erie-Torresdale Station on the Market-Frankford Line. To access the Market-Frankford Line while this station is closed customers are asked to use the Church Street or Tioga Stations.
Erie-Torresdale Station will close at 8 pm. This Friday and open the following day at 5 am throughout the weekend. Efforts will focus on cleaning efforts like power washing and the removal of litter, debris, and graffiti.
Following the Erie-Torresdale cleaning will be 60th Street Station (Market-Frankford Line) August 27, 28 and 29.
During the closures, customers can find alternate service at neighboring stations on the Market-Frankford or on nearby bus routes. More information can be found here: https://www.septa.org/alert/mfl.html
SEPTA has been doing these station blitzes on the Market-Frankford and Broad Street Lines over the last several months. In addition to Erie-Torresdale Station this weekend, crews have been dispatched to Huntington, Somerset, Allegheny, 8th Street, 11th, 13th Street, 46th Street, and Tioga Stations on the Market-Frankford Line. Work has also been performed at the North Philadelphia, Lombard-South and Snyder Stations on the Broad Street Line.
