SEPTA is advising customers that some changes are being made to most Regional Rail schedules starting this weekend.
These updates will impact the Airport, Chestnut Hill East, Chestnut Hill West, Fox Chase, Glenside, Lansdale/Doylestown, Manayunk/Norristown, Media/Wawa, Paoli/Thorndale, Trenton, Warminster, West Trenton, and Wilmington/Newark Lines.
New timetables will go into effect on Sunday, January 7. Riders are encouraged to check the schedules for new departure and arrival times.
Below are some highlights of the upcoming service changes:
- Chestnut Hill East
- Six midday trains restored to provide weekday hourly service
- Wilmington/Newark
- Significant adjustments to accommodate Amtrak state of good repair bridge work in the Chester area
- Warminster
- Significant adjustments due to Willow Grove Station construction
These changes will maintain Regional Rail service at 77% of pre-COVID levels. Regional Rail ridership has returned gradually and is currently at about 58% of pre-pandemic levels.
