SEPTA Announces New Regional Rail Schedules Effective Sunday, Aug. 27

SEPTA is advising customers that some changes are being made to most Regional Rail schedules starting this weekend.

These updates will impact the Airport, Chestnut Hill East, Chestnut Hill West, Glenside, Lansdale/Doylestown, Manayunk/Norristown, Media/Wawa, Paoli/Thorndale, Trenton, Warminster, West Trenton, and Wilmington/Newark Lines.

There will be significant adjustments on the Wilmington/Newark Line to accommodate Amtrak’s state of good repair bridge work in the Chester area, which begins in mid-September.

New timetables will go into effect on Sunday, August 27. Riders are encouraged to check the schedules for new departure and arrival times.

Below are some highlights of the upcoming service changes:

  • Wilmington/Newark
    • All SEPTA and Amtrak inbound traffic will be merged to Track 2 between Marcus Hook and Darby stations
  • Chestnut Hill East
    • There will be midday service reductions to accommodate track and survey work for station and bridge rehabilitation projects
  • Chestnut Hill West
    • There will be service adjustments to accommodate school travel

These changes will maintain Regional Rail service at 75% of pre-COVID levels. Regional Rail ridership has returned gradually and is currently at about 60% of pre-pandemic levels.

SEPTA anuncia nuevos horarios de Tren Regional a partir del domingo 27 de agosto

SEPTA informa a los pasajeros que se van a realizar cambios en los horarios de algunas líneas de Tren Regional a partir de este fin de semana.

Estas actualizaciones afectarán a las líneas Airport, Chestnut Hill East, Chestnut Hill West, Glenside, Lansdale/Doylestown, Manayunk/Norristown, Media/Wawa, Paoli/Thorndale, Trenton, Warminster, West Trenton y Wilmington/Newark.

Habrá ajustes significativos en la Línea Wilmington/Newark para acomodar obras de Amtrak en el área de Chester, que comienzan a mediados de septiembre.

Los nuevos horarios entrarán en vigor el domingo 27 de agosto. Se aconseja a los pasajeros consultar los nuevos horarios de salida y llegada.

A continuación se presentan algunos aspectos destacados de los ajustes de servicio:

Wilmington/Newark

  • Todo el tráfico de entrante de SEPTA y Amtrak estará en la vía 2 entre las estaciones Marcus Hook y Darby.

Chestnut Hill East

  • Habrá reducciones en el servicio del mediodía para dar cabida a los trabajos en las vías y de topografía para proyectos de rehabilitación de estaciones y puentes.
