SEPTA has expanded the number of locations where customers can purchase Key Cards, with the addition of Regional Rail station ticket offices throughout the service region.
All 72 outlying Regional Rail stations with ticket offices are now selling and reloading Key Cards with Weekly and Monthly TrailPasses for travel on Regional Rail, as well as One Day Independence Passes. The outlying ticket offices can also accommodate purchases for Weekly and Monthly TransPasses for customers who use Transit modes, including buses, subways and trolleys.
SEPTA highlighted the addition of the ticket offices to the SEPTA Key sales network during an event on Tuesday at the Norristown Transportation Center because it is a multi-modal travel hub, providing customers connections to Regional Rail and Transit modes, including buses and the Norristown High Speed Line.
“Customers now have the option of making SEPTA Key purchases from the convenience of their home station,” said SEPTA Deputy General Manager Richard Burnfield. “The same ticket agents who assisted customers with sales in the past are now ready to help with the transition to the SEPTA Key.”
Sales hours at the ticket offices vary by location, so SEPTA urges customers to check their home station’s hours before going to make a purchase at https://www.septakey.org/info/buy-load-locator. Most station ticket offices are open through the morning commute on weekdays, with some extending hours into the early afternoon.
In addition to the 72 outlying stations, customers can also purchase Key Cards for Regional Rail at kiosks located at the five Center City stations, and at SEPTA sales offices. Once customers have a Key Card, they can reload passes online, over the phone or in-person at stations. SEPTA strongly encourages customers to register their Key Card to protect from loss or theft.
