SEPTA Alerts Riders Of Modified Schedules For The Upcoming Holidays

PHILADELPHIA (Dec. 20, 2023) – SEPTA would like to alert riders of the modified schedules due to the expected changes in riding habits from December 24, 2023, through January 1, 2024. Below are some specific service notifications:

Sunday, December 24

All modes will operate on a Sunday schedule.

Monday, December 25

Buses, subways, and trolleys will operate on a Sunday schedule. There will be additional service on the Broad Street Line before the Eagles-Giants game at 4:30 p.m.

Regional Rail will run on a special Christmas schedule. Riders should check the specific changes for each line.

Sunday, December 31

Buses and trolleys will operate on a Sunday schedule. Also note that in preparation for the Mummers Parade, the following bus routes will be detoured from noon to 8 p.m. on 15th Street between JFK Boulevard and Chestnut Street: 4, 16, 17, 27, 31, 32, 33, 44, 48, 124 and 125. Always refer to System Status for updated detour information. 

Subways will operate on Sunday schedules. Additional trains will operate before and after the New Year’s Eve fireworks at Penn’s Landing, with late-night trains available.

Regional Rail will operate on a Sunday schedule with special late-night service. The late-night New Year’s Eve schedules include added service to Chestnut Hill East, Fox Chase, Lansdale/Doylestown, Malvern, Marcus Hook, Manayunk/Norristown, Media/Wawa, Trenton, Warminster, and West Trenton. Regional Rail will also provide additional late-night service on the Trenton Line for connections to/from NJT.

Monday, January 1

All modes will operate on a Sunday schedule.
