Crews are renovating the Arrott Transit Center eastbound exit stairs to improve safety, security and cleanliness.
Project Location and Hours
The work is taking place at the Arrott Transit Center; the project began on November 8, 2024 and is expected to take up to nine months to complete.
Normal construction hours are weekdays from 7 am to 2 pm. Crews may work until 6 pm on
some weekdays. Occasional Saturday work will be performed as needed between 6 am
and 1 pm.
Impact on Riders
The eastbound exit stairway at Arrott Transit Center is closed for the duration of construction. Customers exiting the train will be directed to use existing exits at the south end of the outbound platform or via the overhead crosswalk to exit from the westbound platform/stairs.
Bus service is not impacted.
Project Details
This project will relocate the fare line from platform level to street level and enclose the stairs to improve safety.
Similar exit improvements were completed at Girard, York-Dauphin, Tioga and Somerset stations.
