Arrott Transit Center Exit Upgrade Project

Crews will be renovating the Arrott Transit Center eastbound exit stairs to improve safety, security and cleanliness.

Project Location and Hours

The work will take place at the Arrott Transit Center beginning Friday, November 8.

Normal construction hours are weekdays from 7 am to 2 pm. Crews may work until 6 pm on
some weekdays. Occasional Saturday work will be performed as needed between 6 am
and 1 pm.

The project is scheduled to take up to nine months to complete.

Impact on Riders

Following the last train on Thursday, November 7, the eastbound exit stairway at Arrott Transit Center will be closed and remain closed for the duration of construction. Customers exiting the train will be directed to use existing exits at the south end of the outbound platform or via the overhead crosswalk to exit from the westbound platform/stairs.

Bus service will not be impacted.

Project Details

This project will relocate the fare line from platform level to street level and enclose the stairs to improve safety.

Similar exit improvements were completed at Girard, York-Dauphin, Tioga, and Somerset stations.
