Weekend Shuttle Busing Scheduled Between SEPTA’s Doylestown and Lansdale Stations

Due to track renewal work, SEPTA trains on the Lansdale/Doylestown Regional Rail Line will not operate between Doylestown and Lansdale Stations on the weekends of August 20-21 and August 27-28. Shuttle buses will be used to transport passengers between Doylestown and Lansdale.

On August 20, 21 and 27, passengers leaving from Doylestown Station will board shuttle buses 11-17 minutes earlier than scheduled train times and travel to Lansdale Station. Please note, shuttles buses connecting with Train #575 will depart Doylestown Station at the regular scheduled train time and 2-4 minutes later from following stations. Trains leaving from Center City Philadelphia will stop at Lansdale Station. Passengers continuing to Doylestown will board shuttle buses, which will depart stations 5-18 minutes later than scheduled train times.

August 28 bus substitution has been cancelled due to weather conditions

All train times between Lansdale and Center City remain unchanged for both weekends.

In addition to shuttle bus service on the Lansdale/Doylestown Line, the grade crossing renewal portion of the project will necessitate a temporary road closure. From 7 pm. On Friday, August 19, to 5 am on Monday, August 22, the grade railroad crossing of Route 202 (Butler Pike) and SEPTA’s Lansdale/Doylestown Line, located approximately 100 feet north of the intersection of Route 202 and Bristol Road will be closed to vehicular traffic. A full traffic detour will be in place during that time to direct vehicles around the site. During the closure, crews will replace the existing grade crossing with a new concrete crossing, allowing for a smoother ride on Route 202 between Chalfont and New Britain Boroughs.
