Crews will remove and replace damaged sidewalk on Nedro Avenue. The new sidewalk will provide a more comfortable, safer experience for pedestrians and those waiting for buses at Fern Rock Transit Center.
Project Location and Hours
The work takes place on Nedro Avenue between 10th Street and 11th Street, alongside Fern Rock Transit Center. This includes the bus loading zone where passengers wait to board Routes 28, 57 and 70.
Work will occur throughout the week – this includes Saturdays, which is when most of the demolition is scheduled. Weekday working hours are 7 am to 2 pm; Saturday working hours are 8 am to 2 pm.
Work will continue through mid-December of 2025, then pause until the following March, and will be completed in May 2026.
Impact on Riders
Metro and bus routes that serve Fern Rock Transit Center are not going to be affected. The only impact will be to the bus loading zone. Those who use this zone should look for posted signs to see alternative waiting areas to board buses.
