SEPTA’s Broad Street Subway Line Sports Express service is set to help fans fly to the Eagles preseason opener at Lincoln Financial Field on Thursday, August 13th, 2009.
The Eagles begin their quest for a Super Bowl championship with this exhibition game against the New England Patriots at 7:30 pm. To accommodate fans, Sports Express trains will run every 10 minutes between 6:05 pm and 7:15 pm
These trains begin service at the Fern Rock Transportation Center, and then stop at Olney Transportation Center, Erie, Girard, Spring Garden, Race-Vine, City Hall and Walnut-Locust, before reaching the Pattison Avenue Station near the Sports Complex in South Philadelphia. Fans taking a “Sports Express” train from City Hall will reach Pattison Avenue in about 8 minutes.
After the game, fans can catch northbound trains at the Pattison Avenue Station providing local and express service on the Broad Street Subway Line, with convenient connections to SEPTA’s Regional Rail Lines, the Market-Frankford Line, and bus and trolley routes.
