SEPTA Ready to Begin Route 102 Overhaul

Ambassadors to Assist Customers as Work Starts

SEPTA is set to embark on a major project to improve service and safety for customers in Delaware County.

Starting Tuesday, Sept. 8, SEPTA begins a massive overhaul of the Route 102 Sharon Hill Trolley Line, which serves approximately 7,500 riders daily. Work will continue through December. Shuttle buses will be used in place of trolleys in some areas during the project, and customers should allow an extra 10 to 30 minutes for their commute.

To help riders find their way around, SEPTA Ambassadors will be stationed along the line when the work begins. The ambassadors, easily identified by the “SEPTA Ambassador” logo on their white shirts, will be ready to assist customers at the following locations:

  • Drexel Hill Junction – Tuesday Sept. 8 through Tuesday Sept. 15
  • Oakview Station – Tuesday Sept. 8 through Sunday Sept. 13
  • Collingdale Station – Tuesday Sept. 8 through Sunday Sept. 13
  • Sharon Hill Station – Tuesday Sept. 8 through Sunday Sept. 13
  • Holy Child Academy for the start of school from Wednesday, Sept. 9 through Friday, Sept. 11

Details on travel schedules, and more information on the project, can be found at www.septa.org/102shuttle. SEPTA has also set up a toll-free hotline for customers to receive the latest information on service disruptions during the project at (800) 808-5025.
