SEPTA continues to work to enhance its Regional Rail Interim Weekday Schedules while the authority is making repairs to return the Silverliner V fleet to service. Beginning at the start of the service day on Tuesday, September 6, 2016, new schedules will go into effect for the following Regional Rail Lines:Media/Elwyn, Lansdale/Doylestown, Manayunk/Norristown, Paoli/Thorndale, Trenton, Warminster, West Trenton and Wilmington/Newark. Among the changes is the return of trains to the entire Media/Elwyn Line following the completion of the Crum Creek Viaduct Replacement Project. The new schedules are available online at https://www.septa.org/service/contingency.html#interim. New PDF schedules will be published after 6 pm. Today, September 2.
SEPTA will also begin Weekday Supplemental Express Bus service on Tuesday, September 6. Express Buses will operate from limited Regional Rail stations between 6:30-8:30 am for the morning commute, and from 4-6 pm. For the evening rush. The routings are designed to provide comparable trip times to those using Regional Rail service. SEPTA encourages riders to consider using SEPTA Transit modes as an alternate to Regional Rail service. Schedule, station and parking information for the Norristown High Speed Line, Market-Frankford Line, Broad Street Line, buses and trolleys is available at www.septa.org.
