Convenient Payment Options for Regional Rail Riders

SEPTA supports contactless payments on Regional Rail. Riders can easily tap on and tap off using any contactless credit/debit card or mobile wallet (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay) at fare gates and platform validators. Contactless fares match current Travel Wallet pricing.

Note: Contactless payments are not currently available for travel to/from Trenton and West Trenton stations. SEPTA is working to install validators at these locations.

The SEPTA Key card is a reloadable, contactless chip card that allows users to load passes and/or Travel Wallet funds for seamless travel. Cards can be loaded or reloaded 24/7 at septakey.org or by calling 855-567-3782.

SEPTA’s multi-rider feature allows up to five riders on one SEPTA Key card. Taps can be on a single bus/trolley validator or a combination of taps on different turnstiles at a station. Multi-rider is available on all modes including bus, trolley, [B] Broad Street Line, [L] Market-Frankford Line, [M] Norristown High Speed Line and Regional Rail. Fares may be purchased onboard Regional Rail trains. Conductors accept cash and credit cards.

Note: $50 and $100 bills are not accepted.
