Officer Jaja Hall brings 19 years of dedicated law enforcement experience to the SEPTA Transit Police Department. He began his career with SEPTA Police in 2006—quickly distinguishing himself through his proactive crime-fighting efforts and his commitment to building strong relationships with the riding public. In recognition of his outstanding service he was honored with the 2007 Officer of the Year Award.

After 11 years of service Officer Hall took on a new challenge by joining the Philadelphia Sheriff’s Department. While he valued the experience he came to realize that his true passion remained in police work. In 2024 he returned to the SEPTA Police Department—a move celebrated by Chief Charles Lawson, who recognized Jaja’s exceptional skills and leadership.
Officer Hall is a firm believer in maintaining peak physical and mental fitness. He is an avid runner who has proudly represented SEPTA Police in the Broad Street Run. In addition to running—he is a dedicated weightlifter and a talented basketball player.
Off-duty Officer Hall cherishes time with his son, Jasir. The two share a close bond and enjoy spending time together doing a wide range of activities.
Grateful for the opportunity to serve once again—Officer Hall now devotes part of his time to mentoring new officers, sharing his knowledge and experience to help shape the future of the department.
Thank you Officer Hall for your service!
