In preparation for high-profile public events this summer SEPTA, along with the Philadelphia Fire Department and city partners, will conduct a full-scale exercise on Wednesday, May 20 at Walnut-Locust Station beginning at 10 am. This comprehensive emergency preparedness drill will simulate real-time responses to transportation incidents.
Impacts on Riders
The drill will not impact service and will be contained to the southern end of the mezzanine level and the immediate vicinity. However, there will be an increased presence of police and emergency personnel around the station.
Closed Entrances
Southwest entrances at both Broad & Spruce and Broad & Locust will be closed from 9 am to 2 pm. SEPTA ambassadors will be stationed at various entrances to direct customers and answer questions.
