PHILADELPHIA (August 4, 2026) – SEPTA will adjust service on the D1 and D2 trolleys from Friday, Aug. 7, through Sunday, Aug. 9, to accommodate a full-depth renewal of the Landsdowne Avenue grade crossing. The four-day project will also close Landsdowne Avenue between Garrett Road and Winding Way to all vehicle traffic from Friday morning to Monday evening.
Crews will be reconstructing the grade crossing with a new asphalt surface and installing new ties and rails. The finished product will provide a smoother ride across the tracks and a new surface free of any cracks and potholes.
Buses will be substituted for the D1 and D2 trolleys between Aug. 7-9 only. Both trolley lines are scheduled to return to regular operations for the start of service on Monday, Aug. 10.
In addition to the trolley adjustments and road closing, the Route 115 bus will be detoured around the work for the duration of the project.
Riders should look for posted signs, visit septa.org, or go to the SEPTA App.
