Overview
Since January 2025, SEPTA crews have been working to renovate Chestnut Hill East Station.
Chestnut Hill East Station will be rebuilt as part of the Station Accessibility Program, making it accessible to people with disabilities and easier to ride for seniors, families with small children, and anyone who needs a little more help to get where they are going. Improvements will include the construction of a new, ADA accessible platform, ADA compliant restrooms, new lighting, signage and seating as well as a building repairs and new roofing on all platforms.

- New, high-level platform will make boarding SEPTA easier for all patrons.
- New lighting and signage will allow for safer and easier wayfinding.
- Stormwater management system able to hold 130,000 gallons of water under the parking lots to help alleviate runoff and flooding.
