Dilworth Park
The city’s lively focal point has a cute cafe, a lush green lawn, beautiful trees, and a fountain that turns into an ice skating rink in winter. Philadelphia’s “Center Square” hosts all sorts of fun events and activities year-round and is a central place to catch public transportation.
How to Get There
Take Market-Frankford Line[L] or Trolley [T] Routes 10,11,13,34, or 36 to 15th Street Station or the Broad Street Line [B] to City Hall Station. Bus Routes 4, 16, 17, 27, 31, 32, 33, 38, 44, 62, 78, 124 & 125 all drop you within a block or two of the park or take Regional Rail to Suburban Station.
Things to Do
In the warmer months, the fountain is open, and in the winter, it becomes an ice skating rink. From spring to fall, the park is always busy with various events happening throughout the week. Festivals, live music, outdoor movie screenings, and happy hour specials attract crowds of people to the park at all times of the day and night. All these events take place above a significant transit hub.
