To facilitate the completion of PENNDOT’s two-year I-476 bridge rehabilitation project, SEPTA trains will not operate between Spring Mill and Elm Street Stations on the Manayunk/Norristown Regional Rail Line on the weekend of March 26-27. Shuttle buses will be used to transport Norristown passengers.
Trains to Philadelphia will operate normally from Miquon Station and serve all stations inbound to Center City. Shuttle buses will be used for passengers boarding at Elm Street, Main Street, Norristown Transportation Center, Conshohocken and Spring Mill before arriving at Wissahickon Station. At Wissahickon, passengers heading to Center City will transfer to inbound Regional Rail trains. Passengers traveling to Manayunk, Ivy Ridge and Miquon Stations will transfer to outbound trains at Wissahickon. Shuttle buses to Wissahickon Station will leave Elm Street Station 29 minutes before scheduled train times.
Trains from Philadelphia will operate normally to Miquon. Passengers traveling beyond Miquon will transfer to buses at Wissahickon. Shuttle buses will operate directly to Spring Mill and continue to Conshohocken, Norristown Transportation Center, Main Street and Elm Street. Passengers traveling to Norristown from Manayunk, Ivy Ridge and Miquon Stations will board inbound trains and transfer to outbound buses at Wissahickon. Passengers traveling beyond Miquon to Elm Street will incur up to an additional 31 minutes of travel time.
On Saturday, March 26, shuttle buses will also be provided inbound from Elm Street Station to Manayunk (stopping at Main and Levering Streets) at 9:36 pm, 10:39 pm and 11:36 pm. Shuttle buses from Manayunk to Spring Mill Station (and continuing to Elm Street Station) will depart from Main and Levering Streets at 1:09 am and 2:09 am
SEPTA personnel will be available at Wissahickon Station to assist passengers. In case of severe weather, busing on the Manayunk/Norristown Line will be rescheduled for the weekend of April 2-3.
