Bree Cantiello is Director of Occupational Safety and Environmental Management at SEPTA and she’s also had the honor of serving in the United States Air Force for 28 years including now in the Pennsylvania International Guard.
Bree joined the military when she was 19 looking for direction and purpose. What she found was a community that taught discipline, teamwork, and the importance of doing your job to the highest standard.
When Bree started at SEPTA in 2006 she realized how much her two worlds have in common. Whether you’re maintaining vehicles, operating trains, and buses, or keeping our facilities safe—it takes teamwork to get the job done. No one succeeds alone and there’s pride in serving something bigger than yourself.
Veterans and active-duty service members bring extraordinary qualities to the Authority including teamwork, discipline, and a deep sense of service. Those same qualities strengthen SEPTA every day and help us deliver on our mission to provide safe and reliable public transit.
Veterans Day is a moment to recognize all who have served and those who continue to serve. Thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your example.
