SEPTA Releases Design Concepts for New Trolley Stations

Take the survey here

SEPTA has released the design concepts for the new trolley stations that are a part of their Trolley Modernization Program. This key milestone was unveiled on 9/21 with a virtual Transit Talk.

Trolley Modernization is a once in a generation opportunity to transform the nation’s largest trolley network, delivering benefits across the region and creating a “lifestyle transit network” connecting to destinations by providing accessible, fast, and easy service on the trolley system.

Trolley Modernization will introduce new stations that make it easy to find, level boarding that makes it easy to get on, and consistent service that makes it easy to get where you are going. These new design concepts build on input from more than 5,000 respondents who provided feedback on what trolley stations should include and how they can fit in with their surrounding communities.

The public again is being asked to provide feedback-this time on those potential station designs. That survey can be found here. For more information and details on the Trolley Modernization Program and other SEPTA Forward initiatives, please visit https://planning.septa.org/.
