Shuttle Buses To Operate On The Warminster Line For The Next Three Weekends Due To Construction

During the month of December, SEPTA crews will install new signal and power systems along the Warminster Line. The new Automatic Train Control (ATC) System will improve the safety and effectiveness of signal communication with trains. This project is a part of ongoing SEPTA Regional Rail improvements and will greatly increase service efficiency.

Due to the construction project, shuttle buses will operate on consecutive weekends in place of regular train service on a portion of the line.

On the weekends of December 5-6, 12-13, and 19-20, shuttle bus service will operate between Warminster and Glenside Stations. Shuttle buses will depart Warminster Station 22 minutes before scheduled times and will arrive there 20 minutes later than scheduled. Trains will arrive and depart Glenside Station on regular weekend scheduled times.

On Friday, December 11, in preparation for the weekend work on December 12 and 13, inbound and outbound local and express shuttle buses will provide service in lieu of train service between Jenkintown and Warminster stations. Inbound substitute bus service from Warminster will start at 4:37 pm and outbound substitute bus service will start with the 7:30 pm. Departure from Jenkintown. Outbound passengers will transfer to shuttle buses at Jenkintown for service to stations above Glenside. Glenside passengers can remain on the train for direct service to their station.

During this construction, riders are advised to plan additional travel time. Revised schedules will be posted.

Passengers may telephone the SEPTA Customer Service Department at (215) 580-7800 for further information.
