SEPTA will be part of a nationwide “Sound The HornHorn” event on Thursday, May 21, to honor frontline transit employees who are providing essential services during the COVID-19 pandemic. SEPTA is inviting the media to gather at Frankford Transportation Center at 3 pm as train and bus operators simultaneously sound two one-second horn blasts.
The first “Sound The Horn” event on April 17 was incredibly successful, with nearly 150 public transportation systems participating. Like the previous event, all agencies taking part in Thursday’s celebration will do so at 3 pm. EST.
