SEPTA To Adjust Services for Holidays and Upcoming Events

SEPTA is adjusting some services over the upcoming holiday weekends, in an effort to keep schedules consistent with changes in riders’ needs. Service will also be added where possible to accommodate upcoming events.

All SEPTA services will be available throughout the holidays, with some reductions Dec. 24-26, and Dec. 31-Jan. 2. This is due to expected reductions in ridership, as most regular SEPTA customers won’t be headed out for their normal commute on these specific days.

Christmas Eve, Saturday, Dec. 24: All services – the Market-Frankford Line, Broad Street Line, Regional Rail lines, trolley lines and bus routes – will run on a Saturday Schedule.

Christmas Day, Sunday, Dec. 25: Services will run on a Sunday/Holiday Schedule. Routes 120 and 204 will not operate.

Christmas Holiday (observed), Monday, Dec. 26: A Saturday Schedule will be in place for all transit services, including the Market-Frankford Line, Broad Street Subway, all buses and trolley routes. Regional Rail and Route 204 will operate on a Sunday schedule. Routes 205, 306, 310 and LUCY will not operate.

New Year’s Eve, Saturday, Dec. 31: Services will run on a Saturday Schedule. There will also be added late-night service on Regional Rail. Please check timetables for details about trips for specific lines.

New Year’s Day, Sunday, Jan. 1: Services will run on a Sunday/Holiday Schedule. Routes 120 and 204 will not operate. SEPTA expects to detour a number of bus routes for the Mummers Parade, including routes 2, 7, 17, 23, 27, 29, 31, 32, 33, 37, 38, 44, 48, 57, 64, 68, 79, 124/125 and C. Detours may be added and changed through the day as needed. Bus customers can get real-time updates on detours at https://www.septa.org/realtime/index.html.
