Beginning Sunday, March 6, SEPTA’s Wilmington and Claymont passengers will be able to hop aboard the authority’s Regional Rail Line for trips to Philadelphia seven days a week. That day, SEPTA, in partnership with DART First State, will start its Sunday service at the Wilmington and Claymont Stations. Sunday trains will replicate SEPTA’s Saturday service schedule, offering seven daily round trips between Wilmington and Center City Philadelphia. Schedules are available online at www.septa.org.
“We are pleased to offer this extended service,” said SEPTA General Manager Joseph M. Casey. “The Sunday schedule gives our Delaware passengers an environmentally- and economically-friendly option when visiting Philadelphia.” DART Executive Director Stephen Kingsberry added, “The addition of the Sunday service is in response to requests for more trains in Delaware.”
The launch of SEPTA’s Sunday Regional Rail service in Delaware coincides with the opening of the Philadelphia International Flower Show, held March 6-13 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Delawareans can take SEPTA to the Flower Show, disembarking at Market East Station, located below the Convention Center.
