Following several successful station cleaning and maintenance blitzes over the last two years, SEPTA is continuing the initiative through October on the Broad Street (BSL) and Market-Frankford Lines (MFL).
This weekend’s (October 6-8) comprehensive cleaning will be at 13th Street Station on the Market Frankford Line. As with each cleaning, stations will close at 8 pm on Friday and reopen Monday morning at 5 am. Efforts will focus on heavy cleaning, maintenance, as well as painting, and any additional repairs where needed.
This blitz will also include the 13th Street Trolley Station and will affect Trolley Routes 10, 11, 13, 34, and 36. Customers needing to travel to 13th Street Station from 15th Street should transfer to the following bus routes: 17, 33, 44, or 48.
The last blitz for this phase will be at 34th Street Station (MFL), October 20-22.
SEPTA has been doing these station blitzes on the Market-Frankford and Broad Street Lines over the last several months. In addition to 13th Station this weekend, crews have been dispatched to Snyder and Hunting Park on the BSL and Allegheny, Tioga, 11th Street, 34th Street, and Somerset on the Market-Frankford Line since May.
