SEPTA Set To Strut In The New Year

New Year's Eve/New Year's Day Service Set for Fireworks and Parade

City and Suburban Transit Division bus and trolley routes will operate on normal schedules on New Year’s Eve. Regional Rail trains will also operate on regular weekday schedules with added late night service on most routes departing Suburban Station between 1:12 am and 1:50 am for evening revelers enjoying the midnight fireworks display.

The special New Year’s Eve Regional Rail schedules are now available at Regional Rail stations and at www.septa.org/holiday/index.html.

On New Year’s Day, SEPTA City and Suburban Transit Division bus and trolley routes will operate on a Sunday/holiday schedule with extra service added on the Broad Street and Market-Frankford Lines for riders traveling to the 110th Annual Mummers Parade in Center City. Broad Street and Market-Frankford Line trains will run about every 8 to 10 minutes between 8 am and 6 pm. Regional Rail service will operate on a Sunday schedule with additional cars for Mummers Parade fans.

The parade will cause SEPTA bus Routes 2, 7, 17, 23, 27, 29, 31, 32, 33, 37, 38, 44, 48, 64, 68, 79, 124, 125, C and G to operate on local detours in and around Center City.
