SEPTA is getting into the game this weekend by reminding its customers that the Broad Street Subway Line Sports Express service is the easiest, fastest and safest way to get to the Eagles playoff game at Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday, January 13.
To accommodate fans, express trains will leave Fern Rock Transportation Center every 10 minutes starting at 1:35 pm until 3:35 pm. These trains begin service at the Fern Rock Transportation Center, and then stop at Olney Transportation Center; Erie; Girard; Spring Garden; Race-Vine; City Hall; and Walnut-Locust, before reaching the AT&T Station near the Sports Complex in South Philadelphia. Fans taking a “Sports Express” train from City Hall will reach AT&T in about 11 minutes.
Regional Rail customers can make the short walk to City Hall Station, and take the Broad Street Line to AT&T station. In addition to the BSL, SEPTA bus routes 4 and 17 will drop riders off in the middle of all the action. So, whether you have a ticket to the game or just tailgating with friends, SEPTA can take you there. After the game, riders can catch northbound trains at AT&T Station providing local and express service back towards Center City and Fern Rock.
SEPTA Key ambassadors will be on hand at select SEPTA locations throughout the system including SEPTA’s Mobile Fare Kiosk adjacent to AT&T Station to assist with purchases and to answer questions about SEPTA’S new fare payment technology. The SEPTA Key is the most convenient way to travel because fans can quickly tap on and tap off transit.
And in true Philly spirit, AT&T Station will be decorated in Eagles-themed colors with balloon arches, banners and more. Riders can also expect SEPTA crews, cashiers and operators to be wearing Eagles-themed attire over their official uniform. And before you head to your seat, stop by the SEPTA Tent in Lincoln Financial Field’s Headhouse Plaza to try your luck at the SEPTA Bus Toss starting at 1:30 pm. Right up until kick-off. Winners receive a limited edition GO SEPTA GO BIRDS t-shirt.
