SEPTA’S Independence Pass is the key to convenient unlimited one-day travel on all SEPTA routes for riders traveling to the 2010 Philadelphia International Auto Show scheduled for the Pennsylvania Convention Center from January 30 through February 7.
The new SEPTA “One Day Independence Pass” and a “Family Independence Pass” are on sale now providing riders with the independence of convenient, economical and unlimited one day travel on all SEPTA trains (with the exception of Regional Rail trains arriving to Center City before 9:30 am on weekdays) trolleys and buses.
The “One Day Independence Pass” is $10.00 per person. The “Family Independence Pass” costs $25.00 and provides unlimited travel for one family of up to 5 people, traveling together on any one day, on all regularly scheduled SEPTA service. At least one person, but no more than two, must be 18 years of age or older.
In addition, the new “Independence” passes offers riders the freedom to purchase in advance and keep it handy whenever people decide to have a day or night out it will provide them all around convenience. The pass is not “activated” until the month and date are punched by a SEPTA Operator, Cashier or Conductor.
Independence Passes can also now be purchased on board Regional Rail trains. The cash fare receipt provided by conductors will serve as the Independence Pass for travel on Regional Rail trains. Customers planning on using bus, subway or trolley service can exchange the cash fare receipt for the Independence Pass at a SEPTA Ticket or Sales Office.
The “Independence” passes are sold at all Regional Rail Ticket Offices, SEPTA Sales Offices, the Transit Museum Store, the Sales Office at 1234 Market Street and online at shop.SEPTA.org.
SEPTA also offers discounted Auto Show tickets through its Transit Gift Store. Ticket prices are $7.00 for adult admission and $6.00 for child/senior admissions providing up to a $3.00 discount on adult tickets compared to same-day, box office prices. The discounted tickets are valid for admission to the Auto Show on weekdays from February 1 to February 5.
