WHAT: Thanks to a partnership with Dunkin’, SEPTA will offer free rides home from NRG Station on the Broad Street Line on Wednesday, Oct. 9, to celebrate the Flyers home opener. Free rides begin at 7:30 pm, and run two hours post-game. The Broad Street Line serves the sports venues and entertainment complex in South Philadelphia. The free-ride-home program is powered by Dunkin’, the official Coffee, Donut and Breakfast Sandwich of the Philadelphia Flyers.
Along with offering free rides home on Wednesday, Oct. 9, the Dunkin’ Community Cruiser will be on-site at NRG Station from 4-8 pm and will hand out FREE coffee samples and offers fans the opportunity to spin the Dunkin’-branded prize wheel to win Dunkin’ and Flyers prizes. In addition to the cruiser, the pop-up event will also feature appearances by Flyers Ice Girls and Dunkin’s mascot, Cuppy.
The free-ride-home program is aimed at offering a safe and convenient post-game travel option for fans. Please note: Regular fares will apply for all Broad Street Line travel to the game and for trips to and from other stations.
SEPTA will supplement regularly scheduled service on the Broad Street Line for the Flyers/Devils 7:30 pm. Face off with two express trains leaving Fern Rock Station at 6:28 pm and 6:38 pm. Fans will also find Local and Express trains waiting for them at NRG Station after the game.
The Broad Street Line provides convenient service to Flyers games and other big events for riders throughout the region. There is a free transfer to the Broad Street Line from the Market-Frankford Line and City Trolley routes at 15th Street/City Hall, and it is just a short walk from Regional Rail stations in Center City. The Broad Street Line also connects to bus routes that provide service throughout the city and region, and it is easily accessible from the PATCO High Speed Line for riders from South Jersey.
To speed their trips to the game, SEPTA riders are encouraged to load funds on a SEPTA Key card before their travel or purchase a one-way Quick Trip ticket for travel to NRG Station. For more information about the SEPTA Key, visit www.septa.org/key.
