SEPTA Adds Service for Phillies 2019 Home Opener

Customers Urged to Pre-Load Key Cards or Buy Quick Trips for Travel to-and-from NRG Station

SEPTA will add extra service on the Broad Street Line toward NRG Station on Thursday, March 28 for the Phillies afternoon home opener against the Atlanta Braves. Customers are urged to pre-load their Key Cards or purchase Quick Trips for travel to-and-from the game.

Four Express trains will depart Fern Rock Transportation Center every 10 minutes beginning at 1:38 pm. These trips will supplement regularly scheduled Local and Express trains. Specific schedule and other information can be found at https://www.septa.org/events/phillies.html

The Broad Street Line provides convenient service to Phillies games and other big events for riders throughout the region. There is a free transfer to the Broad Street Line from the Market-Frankford Line and City Trolley routes at 15th Street/City Hall, and it is just a short walk from Regional Rail stations in Center City. The Broad Street Line also connects to bus routes that provide service throughout the city and region, and it is easily accessible from the PATCO High Speed Line for riders from South Jersey.

To speed their trips to the games, SEPTA riders are encouraged to load funds on a SEPTA Key card before their travel. Customers without a Key Card can purchase Quick Trip tickets (2) to and from NRG Station from their point of origin. For more information about the SEPTA Key, visit www.septa.org/key.
