Regular Schedule Resumes June 4 on SEPTA’s Wilmington/Newark Line

Special Emergency Schedule Remains in Effect Until Monday

Beginning Monday, June 4, regular train service will resume at all stations along SEPTA’s Wilmington/Newark Regional Rail Line. The return to regular schedules along the line, follows a month-long service adjustment period in which SEPTA implemented a special emergency schedule while Amtrak made repairs to track damaged by the derailment of a Norfolk Southern freight train near Eddystone Station.

On Monday June 4, customers should refer to the timetable with the April 29, 2018 effective date on it for schedule and service information. The Emergency Schedule implemented during the Amtrak Derailment repair work will operate through the end of the service day, Friday June 1. Timetables and other travel details are posted on a special section of SEPTA’s website at: https://www.septa.org/service/rail/2018-05-newark.html

A special schedule will be in effect along the Wilmington/Newark Line service on Saturday, June 2 and Sunday, June 3 as part of the Arsenal Interlocking Reconstruction Project. While work is underway, all trains will operate from the lower level of 30th Street Station. Trains will depart later than times listed on the Special Emergency Wilmington/Newark Line schedule. Late night SEPTA shuttle bus service will still operate as scheduled through Sunday, June 3. For complete service information, customers should refer to signage posted at stations or visit the Arsenal Interlocking Project Page at: https://www.septa.org/arsenal/index.html
