New Regional Rail schedules go into effect Sunday, February 1, 2026. SEPTA updates its Regional Rail schedules four times per year to improve reliability and adjust for capital projects and infrastructure improvements.
Highlights
- These new Regional Rail schedules include minor increases in service to the Wilmington, Trenton and Chestnut Hill East lines, and added frequency from Wayne Junction directly to the Airport.
- Overall, however, this is a relatively minor schedule change. The most significant service changes that riders will notice continue to come from the ongoing increase in vehicle availability following federally-mandated inspections and repairs. Additionally, newly acquired MARC cars and some SEPTA locomotive-pulled trains are being put into service to improve vehicle counts for the AM/PM rush. This allows for more cars per train, less crowding and fewer skipped stops.
- Continuous welded rail work on the Fox Chase Line requires shuttle bus substitution until Friday, April 3. Bus service replaces trains between Fox Chase and Wayne Junction stations on weekdays only from 9 am – 2:30 pm daily.
Bus Connection Changes
In order to maintain connections with new Regional Rail train times, riders will see AM trip times adjusted on Bus Routes 201, 204 and 206.
