Notice of FY27 Operating & Capital Budget Public Hearings

At the hearings, SEPTA will present the proposed Fiscal Year 2027 Operating Budget and Fiscal Years 2028-2032 Financial Projections, and the Fiscal Year 2027 Capital Budget and Fiscal Years 2027-2038 Capital Program. The proposed budgets are available to view using the PDF links below or on the SEPTA Reports page.

Hearing Notice Translations

SEPTA will provide an opportunity for interested persons or agencies to be heard with respect to the budgets at the public hearings. People wishing to attend and speak at the morning or afternoon sessions in-person or via WebEx must register by the start time on the day of each public hearing. SEPTA representatives will be available at each hearing to listen to public comments and testimony. A sign language interpreter will be present during the public hearings. An audio version of the public hearing notice and summary will be available through VisionLink at its website: www.visionlinkphl.org.

Schedule of Fiscal Year 2027 Budget Public Hearings

Additionally, SEPTA will host a Capital Budget Open House on May 13, 2026 from noon to 1 pm and from 6 pm to 7 pm. The open house gives the public an opportunity to learn more about active and planned investments across the transit system.

Public Participation Details

  • Individuals wishing to attend virtually via WebEx must register before the date and time of the hearing (see schedule & registration links above).
  • Individuals wishing to attend in-person should arrive at the SEPTA Board Room prior to the scheduled start time of the hearing (see schedule above).
  • Persons who want to provide oral comments or testimony about the Operating Budget may call
    215-580-7772, and about the Capital Budget may call 215-580-7771 to submit comments or testimony via voicemail message.
  • Individuals may submit comments via email on the Operating Budget to [email protected] and/or the Capital Budget to [email protected].
  • Persons wishing to file written comments may send via U.S. mail to Budgets & Compliance, Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, 1234 Market St., 9th Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19107.

Deadline for Comments & Testimony

All comments and testimony received will become part of the public record and will be forwarded to the Hearing Examiner. To be included in the official public record, comments must be received by Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 5 pm.
