The Union League of Philadelphia will celebrate the birthday of President Abraham Lincoln with its annual themed parade through Center City. Onlookers can expect to see reenactors accompanied by period music such as “The Battle Hymn of the Republic.” The parade will conclude outside Independence Hall with a short ceremony and flag raising, after which participants will travel to lay wreaths at the Lincoln Memorial along Kelly Drive, continuing the annual Lincoln Day tradition. Additional information about the event is available from The George Meade Society.
