SEPTA Lawndale Station Safety Improvement Project

SEPTA is continuing its design of the Lawndale Station Safety Improvement Project – which will remove the current at-grade pedestrian crossing and make the station ADA accessible for customers.

Currently – customers using Lawndale Station on the Fox Chase Line must use a pedestrian grade crossing that requires customers to cross active CSX and SEPTA tracks to access the boarding platform and passenger waiting areas. SEPTA is committed to grade crossing safety and eliminating crossings wherever possible. The Lawndale Station Safety Improvement Project is one of many grade crossing safety projects SEPTA is undertaking across its Regional Rail network

Residents and riders are invited to meet with the project team to discuss the revised plan and view conceptual renderings of the project. Please join us on Wednesday, November 30 at 6:30PM at Philadelphia Protestant Home – Social Hall 6401 Martins Hill Road, Philadelphia, PA 19111 to learn how SEPTA is investing in the Lawncrest community to improve safety and access.

Parking is available \through the main gate.

Please note – in compliance with the City of Philadelphia’s indoor mask mandate for healthcare settings – masks are required to attend the presentation.
