Continuous welded rail work on the Fox Chase Line requires shuttle bus substitution until Friday, April 3. Bus service replaces train service between Fox Chase and Wayne Junction stations on weekdays only from 9 am – 2:30 pm daily.
Update as of Feb. 12, 2026: The shuttle bus stop at Lawndale Station returns to its original location of Newtown Ave. & Devereaux Ave. Trains will operate on a normal schedule for Presidents’ Day and the shuttle bus remains in effect.
Bus service is provided at Fox Chase, Ryers, Cheltenham, Lawndale and Olney stations, with a train connection at Wayne Junction Station. Train service operates between Wayne Junction and Center City. Refer to this Fox Chase Line PDF schedule for specific train and bus times. To avoid delays during your mid-day commute, see suggestions for alternative Fox Chase Line travel options to/from Center City.
During this time, SEPTA crews are performing installation and adjustment of new railway track, which will result in a smoother, more comfortable ride on the Fox Chase Line.
Real-Time Information
For the first time, SEPTA riders can access real-time information about the shuttle bus during this Regional Rail disruption. Bus information is available on a separate Fox Chase Shuttle Bus schedule page. These bus trips are not shown on the Fox Chase train schedule page. Riders can plan trips that use both the Fox Chase train and bus shuttle in combination using the SEPTA trip planner (see below).
