Just in time for National Transportation Week (Monday, 5/11 thru Saturday, 5/17) and Global Accessibility Awareness Day (Thursday, 5/15) SEPTA has unveiled a new exhibit titled “Down the Track @ SEPTA.”
This large-scale installation on the A side of Jefferson Station emphasizes the crucial importance of accessible public transportation. It also highlights projects aimed at enhancing the customer experience, improving accessibility, and promoting sustainability.
The exhibit features 4 different topics:
- Stroller Spot on SEPTA buses — sharing route information for a program aimed at improving rider experience and making transit accessible to more people.
- Trolley Modernization plans — which involve transforming one of the nation’s largest trolley networks into a system that is accessible, fast and easy to use.
- The Getting to Green partnership between Mural Arts, DVRPC, and SEPTA highlighting bus routes that travel to green spaces in the City.
- Value of Transit display emphasizes the economic and environmental benefits of our service and the value it brings to the region.
The display will be installed for six months in Jefferson Station and is designed to provide an interactive learning experience for passengers. It features QR codes and brochures to engage travelers while they wait for their trains or move through one of SEPTA’s busiest stations. The SEPTA sustainability team is leading this project in collaboration with partners from the Trolley Modernization team, Getting to Green artists, The SEPTA Graphics Department, and B&B.
All printing for this project was completed in-house at Berridge.
Hope you will take a moment to visit it!
