‘”Did You Find Love On SEPTA?’

SEPTA Celebrates Valentine's Day with "Moving" Love Stories Contest

SEPTA is looking for couples who found love on SEPTA. The couples with the most “moving” stories will win an invitation to “El”-evate their love to a whole new level by riding the “Love Train” on Valentine’s Day, Sunday, February 14.

The “Love Train”, a specially decorated Market-Frankford Line 6-car train, will take the winning couples on a romantic ride with a perfect view of the Mural Arts Program’s “Love Letter” Project, a true moving love story. “Love Letter” consists of 50 rooftop murals from 45th to 63rd streets along the Market Street corridor which depict love notes written from “Fire” to his unrequited love, “Barbara.”

The event will be topped off with a VIP champagne reception sponsored by the City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program where winning couples will be celebrated and toasted.

The “Did You Find Love on SEPTA?” contest asks riders to submit their love stories about how they found new loves or re-connected with lost loves while riding on a SEPTA train, bus, or trolley. The love stories will be featured on www.septa.org. Some of the stories will also be appear in the Philadelphia Inquirer’s Style and Soul section.

Submissions of love stories can be sent to shoyos@septa.org between January 18 and February 1, 2010.
