Celebrate the Holidays with SEPTA
Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) is hosting it’s annual holiday bus display along with their very own Peoples’ Choice Awards at LOVE Park on weekends starting December 2. SEPTA employees represents all ten of SEPTA districts in Philly and the surrounding counties. The employees use their skills and talents to transform their vehicles into spectacular designs.
The decorated buses and trolleys are entered into a friendly competition where judges decide on the top 3 winners in their respective categories. In addition to LOVE Park, they’ll be available for public viewing during the holiday season at various locations.
The Peoples’ Choice Awards allows for the public to nominate the top 3 winners by voting for their favorite bus. The voting takes place on Saturday, December 2 and Sunday, December 3. Winners will be announced at 3 pm on Sunday, December 3 at LOVE Park.
Schedule of Events
Friday, December 1: The top 3 winners will be featured on FOX 29, Good Day Philadelphia. Tune in to watch the segments between 7 am – 9 am.
Saturday, December 2: Vote for your favorite SEPTA Holiday decorated bus at LOVE Park, 15th & JFK Blvd. from 10 am – 1 pm.
Two SEPTA buses will be featured in the Philadelphia Holiday Parade on 6ABC. The parade will run from 5 – 6 pm.
Sunday, December 3: Nine buses will be on display at LOVE Park between 10 am – 6 pm. SEPTA Peoples’ Choice Award voting ends at 2:30 pm. The award ceremony takes place at 3 pm.
