Christmas Village in Philadelphia is an outdoor holiday festival at LOVE Park and City Hall modeled after the traditional Christmas Markets in Germany.
Shop a unique selection of international and local vendors including handmade holiday gifts, ornaments, jewelry, as well as high-quality arts and crafts.
This year promises to be unforgettable with a special new addition—a traditional German Christmas Pyramid! This multi-level wooden tower is adorned with lights, traditional and Philly favorite figures, and festive decorations.
Warm yourself with sweet and hot drinks while enjoying festive Christmas lights and the delicious smell of strudel, churros, baked potatoes, bratwurst, and mulled wine. It’s the perfect spot to bring you and your family into the Christmas spirit!

Visiting the Christmas Village in Philadelphia via SEPTA is easy thanks to convenient service, contactless payment, and free travel for kids under twelve! Ride Regional Rail to Suburban Station, the B, L, or T to 15th St/City Hall Station, or Bus Routes 2, 17, 33, 38, 44, 48, 124, or 125.
Things to Do
Vendors in wooden booths at LOVE Park and the City Hall Courtyard offer a variety of international holiday gifts, ornaments, jewelry, and arts and crafts along with traditional European food, sweets, and drinks. The festive atmosphere filled with lights and the aromas of waffles, gingerbread, bratwurst and mulled wine will get you and your family into the Christmas spirit.
Choo Choo! All aboard the Christmas Village Express presented by SEPTA! Located right next to the Ferris Wheel at the market’s North Broad Section on the City Hall apron this classic kids train ride brings joy to the youngest visitors and their families. Kids under 36″ are accompanied by a responsible paying adult.
Weekdays bring an extra touch of magic for young passengers. Present your SEPTA Key card when purchasing a Kids Train ticket to get $1 OFF!
And SEPTA Key Senior Fare Card holders can stop by the information booth (Monday – Friday) to receive a hot chocolate voucher!
Take a picture with Santa! Visitors can meet him at the LOVE Park Welcome Center. He is awaiting you and your family to take cheerful holiday photos. Come share a smile, a photo, and your holiday wishes with Santa while he’s at the Christmas Village.
